Make a Magnetic Board Out of Sheet Metal

You might already be familiar with sheet metal, as it’s often used in the construction of buildings and hoods. However, sheet metal can be used creatively, too. Consider using a piece of it as a magnetic board!

Simply take a piece of sheet metal, put it in a frame (you can use a standard frame of any size with the glass removed), and attach fabric or card stock if you wish to “pretty it up.”  Find shapes, wood pieces, or cut-out figures, depending on your intended use for the board. Attach magnetic tape to these items, and voila! You have a decorative and practical magnetic board for your home, office, etc. It’s great to incorporate into the kids’ playtime, too!
